The Elder Scrolls: Online |OT| It's TES VI, VII, VIII and IX

Also, sorry to double post - does that make the equipment crafting skills fairly useless? If the most they can make is 160 Cp gear, and dungeons drop far more than that very easily, what’s the point to them beyond an initial beginners set that you will replace really fast?
Crafting is very useful, there are some builds or components of builds that are craftable for either PvP or PvE. Also you want everything researched so you can transmute traits, because grinding for an item+trait would take forever.

How often should I craft gear while leveling? I read that with the level scaling you want to keep your gear relatively close to your level. I used the Activity Finder last night and gained some levels really fast but didn't get upgrades for all my slots. Now some gear is 6-8 levels behind. I don't have a ton of money or tannins to use for refining gear.

Also, is it worth it to refine from Green to Blue during leveling? I'm trying to solo most things as I go (Dolmens and Public Dungeons) cause a lot of the stuff in leveling zones can be empty. Sometimes I feel pretty squishy, not sure if gear or play style.

Generally it is advised to have your gear be close to your level, otherwise you will be undergeared compared to the mobs. Crafting and upgrading gear isn't really worth it until you hit CP 160, unless you are really having difficulties.

When I level a new character to 50 I make gear at 16, 26, 36 and sometimes 46. If you aren’t at 160 cp yet definitely craft at 46 then again at whatever the starting level for the next material is until you hit cp160. Once you are there you can usually find a crafter to make you some of the really good crafted sets (Julianos for mag, hundigs for stam etc) and purple it out for relatively low cost or free if you have the materials.

I'm quite surprised at how generous ZeniMax has been with giving away crown crates as free rewards. I've gotten two mounts from them already and saved up enough gems to buy another high tier mount as well.

I’m just mad they only gave us two Wild Hunt Crates because it’s the season I actually want something from. Hope they rotate it in the crown store so I can get the Wild Hunt Horse.

Can someone please explain how guild traders work. Whenever I approach one of them there seems to be a new guild every time. Do guilds buy these traders to handle their goods? Is there a limit to how many traders each guild has? And how can they even get noticed when there are so many different guilds handling so many different traders?

I’m thinking of creating my own guild to be able to sell some items, but I don’t understand how I will be able to when there are so many large guilds using the traders. Or am I not understanding how this actually works?

Guilds bid on traders which then sell their goods. Traders in the most popular places (e.g. Rawl'Kha, Wayrest) cost the most coin. Guilds can buy multiple traders but have to bid for each trader individually. When a guild hits 50 members they can create their own guild store, a place where guild members can sell their goods and anyone can buy them by physically accessing the trader from that guild. Note that ESO has no global auction house.

Starting your own guild store might not be a very good idea as you'll need at least 50 members in your guild. I recommend you look for an active trading guild that tickles your fancy and join there. Note that most guilds demand a weekly quota of sales or monetary contributions for making use of their trader.

Ok, so that’s why guilds sometimes say that they have no fee. I always wondered why that was.

Is there some site that lists all the most popular trading guilds?

Might be a dumb question, but how do folks typically communicate on consoles? I'm getting to the point where I might want to engage more in the MMO parts of the game, but not sure how people usually roll on consoles.

I’m playing on the EU server and it’s text chat mainly. Many players use keyboards. In dungeons there are also those who use voice chat. Usually there’s a lot of people in the channel but perhaps only 1-2 people that are actually talking.

From Thursday, September 20 at 11:00AM EDT until Friday, September 28 at 10:00AM EDT, work together with your fellow ESO: Summerset players to explore the island and earn up to three free unique collectibles, including the Psijic Mascot Pony pet, the Psijic Escort Charger mount, and the impressive Grand Psijic Villa house.

To help unlock these new rewards, you must acquire the Summerset Pathfinder Achievement by visiting all 10 of ESO: Summerset’s “Striking Locales” located on both the home of the High Elves and the mystical island headquarters of the Psijic Order. Every day, we’ll update the Summerfall Event page to indicate the ESO community’s progress with a special meter. The pet will unlock at 33%, the mount at 66%, and finally the home at 100%. If you’ve already earned this Achievement, don’t worry, we’ve already included you in the tally.

In order to be eligible to receive the rewards, you must have logged into the game while owning ESO: Summerset at least once (since its initial launch in June) by Sunday, October 7 at 8:00PM EDT. Note that rewards will be delivered by October 10, and even if you were unable to acquire the Summerset Pathfinder Achievement, as long as you have logged into the game while owning ESO: Summerset by October 7, you will receive the unlocked rewards for free. Don’t forget to thank your fellow players!
Free house if enough people complete the Summerset Pathfinder achievement!

It's at 20% so far.

I’ve yet to play around with the house feature. It seemed really expensive and a bit time consuming. Or was I wrong about that?
It seemed to me like something for long time ESO+ members to burn their Crowns on. The first time I went through the store I thought "there's no way this fake house costs 50$".

The prices of houses and furniture on the crown store are absurd but you can purchase a medium sized home and stuff to decorate with gold if you have it. At least you can put additional storage space in your houses now. It's a time waster for sure but I have seen some cool houses people made, just depends on how much you enjoy that type of stuff.

Got home and checked my achievements... was only missing 4 locations.

Got it done in 10 minutes.

Did my part. Hopefully everyone else comes through. That house is pretty impressive.

i just got the eso collection from psn since it is discounted and i had some spare paypal wallet money,i've still got a ton of the base game to get through so i'll get the achievement tonight but wanted to know if i can get to the artaeum island easily enough without having to do any quests?

ah crap! i hate having quest in the log and ignoring them to do something else and i already have a few of them.

oh well, one or two more won't make that much difference, thanks for the reply.
You can abandon the Summerset questline once you get to Artaeum, that's what I did on one character.

I already had the Summerset pathfinder achievement so I've done my part.

I can't believe the Activity Finder boots you so quickly after the group disbands. Half these fucking dungeon quests require a monologue after you finish the dungeon. I've only been able to complete like half of the dungeon quests because of this. So frustrating.

Yeah, this bothers me as well. People are very quick to disband the party. There should be a function where the system does not boot you before you turn in the quest. I have no idea why it’s not programmed this way.

The only thing you can do is to tell people not to leave. I usually do it at the beginning and the end of the dungeon. Sometimes they need a reminded sadly.

I’d hate to have to fill out that house with furniture, it’d be expensive. My goal right now is buying Hakkvild’s High Hall and filling that out.
